It helps to protect iron, copper and aluminium surfaces making it useful for systems where more than one metal needs protection.
Yes, it can be used in solvent based systems directly and in water based systems after neutralisation.
In water based paints and lacquers, the usual dosage is 0.5% to 2.5% after neutralisation. In metalworking fluids, it is 0.2% to 2.0%.
